What is Dramatic Missionary Growth (DMG)?

 

Dramatic Missionary Growth, our shared vision as Catholics on Long Island, ignites us to grow in holiness side by side with others.  It is fueled by all the programs and services provided by the ministries of our Diocese.  DMG helps us to do our part to be true Disciples of Christ!

 

Below are some examples of how Dramatic Missionary Growth is put to action in our ministries. 

 

• Campus Ministry programs allow students in college to practice their faith and be close to God while igniting others, who may not have the faith, to discover God’s love.

• Catholic Charities’ programs bring the healing hands of Christ’s mercy to those in need on our island. 

​

• Charismatic Renewal programs give rise to the Holy Spirit in our hearts through healing masses and Eucharistic adoration. 

​

• Education provides the opportunity for our children to receive a quality education while growing in their faith and in their desire to improve the world they live in.

​

• Faith Formation programs prepare our lay leaders and families so they can share the good works of our Church with others. 

​

• Multicultural Diversity programs celebrate the rich and vibrant diversity of our community.

​

• Respect Life programs defend human life and promote the dignity of the human person.

​

• Vocation programs guide those who are called to serve Christ and His people in the priesthood.

​

• Young Adult Ministry programs enable the young adults in our community to come together and support each other as they travel on their faith journey.

​

• Youth Ministry programs give our young people the opportunity to come face to face with God and change their lives.
